Thrones is the lovely-experimental-metal-drone solo project of bassist Joe Preston, whose music resume includes Sunn O))) (on Moog synthesizer), Earth, The Melvins and High on Fire. Most recent recordings were put out on Southern Lord Records under the title Day Late, Dollar Short.
