GUNTHER AND DONNKIE

The celebration weekend for Gunther and Donnkie went very well, with help from too many people to mention. As awful and sad as it was to lose them, I am reminded by the flood of generosity and support that this is why I live here. This is why we call Bellingham home.

We sold out the Slow Loris Shirts pretty damn quick, but Jessica Lynch (master of design, printing, and cute-faces) is working on a second run. Please continue to check her etsy store (link below) and email her with requests for new orders.

Our hearts are heavy. This is so fucking sad. Not only have these boys been good friends to us, they have also made the world a more beautiful and honest place with their artwork. They are gone and we will remain worse off, for their absence.

A celebration of the lives of Sean and Gunther, and fundraising events, will be held the weekend of July 17th-19th at Boundary Bay, the NIghtlight Lounge, and the Bellingham city skate park. More details are coming soon…

The drawing of both VWs and printed shirts are by Jessica Lynch who has donated her time and talent to help us raise funds. This money will be spent to reimburse the costs of the search effort, for eventual services, and whatever charities the families deem appropriate. Buy a kick-ass shirt that will put a smile on your face as you remember our friends, and make a gesture to their families that will in a small way try and help fix a completely unfixable situation.

A limited number of t-shirts will be on sale at least one night of a 3-day event during the weekend of July 17th-19th. This event is meant to celebrate the lives of Donnkie and Gunther with the art and music they loved, as well as to raise money for their families. By a shirt, a raffle ticket, donate items to raffle off at the event…or just show up and remember their lives and contributions to our community.
