Whoa! On the first Friday of September, 35 local musicians signed up to have their names randomly drawn and sorted to create 7 new bands. They were given 2 weeks to meet their new bandmates, name their new bands, and learn some music. On September 17th, they come back to Jinx for one live performance.

Femina Empirica — A Gallery of Movement — will explore the presence of a female body as an entity in itself, in groups, and as art- what we as people see day to day and do/do not notice.

The work is inspired by the performers themselves and in conjunction with the pieces currently on display in the JINX Art Gallery entitled “Hung.”
